This is a complimentary report (free download) meant to demonstrate the scope of my Hourly Model Report product. This report used climate station data from 1993.
The thermodynamic formulas I used are valid for a machine with constant airflow and a specified minimum chilled surface temperature (or leaving air temperature; I used 5°C in this report but could use any reasonable fixed value). The analysis should therefore be interpreted as providing benchmark values for water production per hour that would be obtained with a basic generic, machine without automated control of both airflow and chilled surface temperature.
This generic modeling of an Atmospheric Water Generator at a subtropical or mid-latitude site with seasonal variability of the water-from-air resource:
Reports for other locations are priced at [ask for quote]—please e-mail me at [email protected] to request a new report for the specific location you are interested in. Reports can be customized to refer to your company and product. Lead time is up to five business days. Contact me for details. Please note that I reserve the right to produce generic versions of my reports for general sale. These will be applicable to generic (specified water production capacity) atmospheric water generators. Thank you for supporting my water-from-air research and development activities for what I believe (and trust you will agree) is global benefit!
For a quick overview by month of the water-from-air resource at a location I recommend my Water-from-Air Resource Charts.

This generic modeling of an Atmospheric Water Generator at a subtropical or mid-latitude site with seasonal variability of the water-from-air resource:
- quantifies the risk of hours or days with zero water production
- quantifies ranges of water production volumes for any specified time period (day, week, month, year)
- provides information applicable to designing a water storage system of appropriate capacity
- provides information for estimating energy costs for various time periods
- quantifies the diurnal cycle of water production during the four seasons; people assume often that water production will be greatest at night but this was only the case during the summer in San Francisco. In the winter, spring, and autumn, water production peaked during the day at this location; This information is valuable when integrating solar energy systems (and electrical energy storage capacity) with water-from-air systems.
